Shiatsu |
Medical Massage |
A soothing Swedish Massage using firm yet gentle strokes to ease muscle tension, increase circulation and encourage a state of both relaxation and rejuvenation. We can use oil or crème; the choice is yours. |
A technique originally developed in Japan, Shiatsu uses compression along meridians and acupressure points. It includes joint mobilization, and uses fingers, palms, elbows and knees to manipulate muscles and increase the energy in both the mind and body. |
Medical Massage focuses on a specific injury or area. This treatment assists in the recovery and rehabilitation of injured muscles and/or joints. Most often it is recommended to people suffering with chronic injuries or to compliment post surgical therapy. |

Aromatherapy |

Trigger Point Therapy |
We use heat to soften muscles and connective tissue. The warmth increases blood flow and encourages pliability and flexibility in muscles and joints.
Ice constricts blood flow. It helps to reduce inflammation and swelling. |
Choose from a variety of essential oils to enhance you massage treatment. Our therapists can guide you through the many scents and specific applications of each. |
A trigger point is a hyperirritable area that is painful when compressed. At times trigger points can refer pain to other parts of the body. Many people refer to them as “knots”. When treating knots or trigger points, pressure is held to the spot. When the therapist releases the pressure fresh blood and oxygen flood the area, flushing out toxins and alleviating pain. |

Deep Tissue Therapy |

Active Isolated Stretching |
Pre-Post Natal Massage |

The focus of Deep Tissue work is to affect the various layers of muscle and connective tissue. Strong pressure is applied to effectively release tension and loosen bonds between layers of soft tissue. The result is reduced pain and increased mobility. |
This form of stretching requires the client to actively engage a muscle as the therapist assists in stretching the muscle that has the opposite function of the activated muscle. The muscle is stretched for 1 to 2 seconds and then released. The technique is coordinated with breathing and achieves circulation, relaxation and flexibility. |

Hot Stone Massage |
AMMA Therapy |
Myofascial Release |
This is a European method that uses heated oiled stones or chilled stones to enhance your massage.
Hot Stones melt away tension and create a deeper sense of relaxation. Stones are placed under the back as well as on the chest and belly. A combination of stones and hand techniques are used to massage you from head to toe.
Some people prefer chilled stones. This is popular among people with chronic headaches and sinus trouble. |
This treatment is based on traditional Chinese medicine. Circular massage along the meridians of the body is combined with acupressure to points along those meridians. No oil or crème is used with this technique. The focus of AMMA is to balance the mind and body. |
This technique is used to release what is known as fascia. Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds muscles. When we have injuries to muscles and joints, the fascia can become restricted. This technique uses gentle manipulation and light passive stretching to release restrictions and restore mobility. |
